What is Doculent?

A plain-language overview of what Doculent does and how it can save your team hours of manual work.

What is Doculent?

Picture this: every day, your team receives dozens (or hundreds) of documents by email. Someone has to open each one, read through it, pull out the key information, and enter it into a spreadsheet or system. It's tedious, time-consuming, and mistakes are easy to make when you're on your 50th form of the day.

Doculent handles all of that automatically.

How It Works (The Simple Version)

Think of Doculent as a very fast, very accurate assistant who never takes a coffee break:

  1. Documents arrive — Your clients send documents to a dedicated email address, or your team uploads them directly through the dashboard.

  2. Doculent reads them — Our AI reads each document, identifies what type it is, and pulls out all the important details — names, dates, policy numbers, amounts, whatever matters for your business.

  3. Quality check — The extracted information goes through automatic validation. If something looks off (a missing field, an unusual value), Doculent flags it for your review instead of letting it slip through.

  4. Results delivered — The clean, structured data gets sent wherever you need it — your existing systems via webhook, a Google Sheet, or right there in your Doculent dashboard.

What Can It Process?

Doculent is built to handle a wide range of document types. Out of the box, it works great with:

  • Insurance submissions — ACORD forms, applications, policy documents
  • Healthcare forms — Intake forms, referrals, authorization requests
  • Real estate documents — Applications, disclosures, inspection reports

And because the system is configurable, your Doculent team can set it up for virtually any document type your business works with.

Who Is It For?

Doculent is designed for teams who process a high volume of documents and want to:

  • Save time — Stop manually reading and re-typing information from documents
  • Reduce errors — Eliminate the typos and missed fields that come with manual data entry
  • Move faster — Get extracted data into your systems in minutes, not hours
  • Scale without hiring — Handle more volume without adding more people to the process
